Oreo Milkshake!

If you follow my blog or have seen a few posts before then you will know this post completely contradicts this post but hey ho. I have a sweet tooth!

I am a massive fan of Krushems from KFC. I love both the Oreo and Milkybar but Oreo edges it for me, I could literally have one any day, any weather, basically any time haha so it wasn’t long until I decided to create my own twist!

This isn’t like a Krushem and believe me Krushem’s are much nicer but this is a good second best for me and it is enough for me to stop being a KFC regular.

What you need:

  1. A blender!
  2. Half a packet of Oreo biscuits
  3. 4 heaped teaspoons of vanilla ice cream (any ice cream will do)
  4. 200ml of milk
  5. A handful of ice cubes

Firstly you need to break the Oreos in halfs and put them in the blender. You then simply add all the other ingredients and blend!

It’s that simple!

You can blend it as much as you want. You can leave small chunks of biscuit or chunks of ice or completely blend it down. Either way tastes nice. You can also choose to scrape of the filling for the oreos and simply have the biscuit to leave out one creamy element of this but personally, I don’t mind it.

It only creates a glassful – enough for one person  so you would have to double up where necessary.

I’m one of those types of people who can’t have drinks that are too sweet so if you are worried about this then don’t be! The ice obviously waters down a little bit in the blender and combined with the milk, makes it feel a lot lighter than you would assume. The odd ice chunk is lovely with this and you could always add more when serving!

Let me know what you think if you happen to try this or if you know any recipes that are closer to an actual Oreo Krushem! I would love to know.
