Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m here with a very unrelated Valentine’s post and it’s another mascara review! I’ve read a fair few negative reviews of the Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama mascara but usually, I love Maybelline mascaras so I wanted to try it for myself and here’s my review.
I really love the packaging, it’s metallic, feminine and Gigi Hadid is on the advert so it was a must buy really wasn’t it?
In terms of length, I was impressed with this mascara. As I said, Maybelline mascaras tend to be my favourite drugstore mascaras and it’s the length that wins it for me and this mascara is up there with the rest.
Maybelline states this mascara adds volume and that it holds the lift in place due to the applicator’s cup design, and again, I do agree with this. It definitely adds volume to my lashes and the lift does hold and last throughout the day. I do tend to prefer curved brushes just because they’re easier overall but this applicator is easy to use and I had no problems.
Now on to my two negatives… Firstly, you don’t get the length easily, I mean this is not an instantly impressive mascara, it took a fair few applications for me to reach the satisfactory length. Secondly, it is a little clumpy. This is something I had read on others’ reviews and although I didn’t personally think it clumped as much as others have said, it did a bit. I do however think this is down to the not getting the desired length quickly, so the numerous strokes just maximise the likelihood of mascaras clumping in general.
Overall, this mascara is good. I still stand by Lash Sensational being my favourite drugstore mascara but I don’t think this mascara is terrible and I possibly would repurchase as I have the world’s most non-existent eyelashes and I need any length I can get!
Have you tried Maybelline’s Falsies Push Up Drama?
