L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Max Review!

I purchased two of these L’Oreal Infallible Matte Max lip pens in shades 001 Silencio and 006 Disturbia as these were the two shades that caught my eye the most! I didn’t look in to the lip pens before I bought them – a first for me – so I had absolutely no idea what to expect and they took me by surprise!L'Oreal-Infallible-Matte-Max-Review (11)L'Oreal-Infallible-Matte-Max-Review (12)

Let’s begin with the design and how it has a clear Nars feel to it, it is so simplistic and perfect for me. I know it’s not about packaging and it’s the product that matters but I am definitely somebody for aesthetics and this is simplistically pretty!

The applicator is effectively a sponge that distributes powder (previously gel) on to your lips. This was what surprised me the most. Firstly a sponge?! Secondly a powder?! Lip craziness. I wasn’t sure on the sponge to begin with but I absolutely love it now because it is soft but really firm too! It has the benefit of being able to line your lips with the tip of the sponge and then fill with the tip or edges.

The product is extremely pigmented as you can see in the images below, and it is so easy to apply. The product is in the lid so you can easily go back for more if needed although, I don’t think you will as it distributes enough for a full coverage anyway. It delivers a lovely matte finish and that is with Vaseline underneath and without.

This is a very long lasting colour, I wore it all day, ate, drank with it and it was still defiant when I got home.

Overall, I think these lip pens are a really cool, interesting creation and I absolutely love them. My only issue is that I wish they did them in more colours!

Have you tried these lip pens yet?

So this post found me at the absolute best time. I swear it was only yesterday I was complaining on twitter about the lack of drugstore matte lipsticks. Definitely going to have to try these bad boys out

They’re really good! I just wish they did like a plum colour, a dupe for Mac sin would be good x

I agree with you, I am a sucker for cool packaging. These look really interesting. The powder sounds a little strange, but love the idea of the long wear!
