Growing up has been a funny thing. I once couldn’t go without watching my daily dose of Eastenders yet now I don’t really watch all that much TV and instead, find myself continuously occupied with a Netflix series. Because of this, I thought I would share 5 of the series Netflix currently host that I think are must watches!
Prison Break
If it wasn’t obvious from the title, Prison Break is about breaking out of a prison. BUT, there is so much more to it than that. I watched the first episode of this when I was living in halls and it just kinda went nowhere because halls are hectic but when I got back home, I decided to watch it again and it became an addiction. I literally watched it 24/7 and it is so, so good. Season 3 is a bit of a game changer and for some people it changed too much for them and I see the point but I loved all seasons and this is a definite must watch. Also, season 5 is happening! Yay!
Breaking Bad
My boyfriend got me into watching Breaking Bad and I didn’t think it would be that great. I was wrong. It’s funny because there’s a lot of story in Breaking Bad as well as a lot of action but even when there is an episode of intense story, you can’t help but click the Play next episode button because you just can’t leave it alone. It’s crazy how much happens in Breaking Bad, you fall in love with characters (Jesse… bitch) and you hate characters but this is definitely in my top 5 and if you haven’t watched it, you really really really should!
The Walking Dead
Another series my boyfriend got me into watching. It’s based on a zombie apocalypse. I was not keen on this at all, he told me about it and I was convinced it would scare me too much. However, the pilot episode is amazing and draws you in. So if you decide to watch the pilot episode then I apologise because you are now trapped in The Walking Dead craze and you will never leave!
Like Breaking Bad, there are some intense story episodes featuring a lot of building up, but again you just can’t switch it off because you want to know what happens next. Also like Breaking Bad, you go through stages with characters where you love them, then hate them, then love them again. (Rick will always be my babes). The Walking Dead is still ongoing and trust me, just watch the first episode and you will love it too.
Pretty Little Liars
I started watching PLL simply because it came up a lot on Twitter. A lot of people I knew of were tweeting about it and I just thought why not? A simple why not turned in to months of desperation to find out who A is! There is so much going on in Pretty Little Liars, so many suspects, so many opinions. If you are recently starting out watching this then I do feel sorry for you because there’s around 26 episodes a season and the thought of catching up is horrible. But trust me, do not rush the catching up stage because there is nothing worse than not seeing that Play Next Episode button and having to wait a whole week. I know, torture! I will admit that I was disappointed with the Big A reveal but I have a feeling something amazing is coming and I can’t help but love Pretty Little Liars.
Suits
Suits jumped on my agenda when I realised it was about law and much like the previous 4, I just became addicted. There are so many characters in here I want to be – although at different times. Long story short, it’s about a law firm who hire a man, Mike, who isn’t a law graduate but proves to be a very good lawyer. Whenever I explain it to anybody and give that explanation it sounds so boring but it really isn’t. Suits is the latest series I have been addicted to and the latest season is on TV now so I’m loving that I’m up to date but hating the weekly waits. It has different twists, turns and relationships within it and Donna is just a great character. Suits is a definite must watch!
So, those are my top 5 Netflix series. I desperately wanted this post to only feature 5 series so it wasn’t a really long, rambly post and I’m glad I managed it, but I just feel like I have missed out so many other amazing series I have or I am watching. I think I might have to do a My top 5 Netflix Series – Part Two!
