January & February Favourites!

I cannot believe February is basically over! I had so many intentions for this year yet two months in and I haven’t succeeded at one. Actually, I have one. I have put more effort into my blogging and I have publicised it a little bit! This causes major anxiety for me but I actually did it and I’m quite proud.

I didn’t post a January favourites this year because I just thought it would be a repeat of items I already posted about in my What I got for Christmas so I just didn’t think it would be too interesting. So instead, I am doing a January and February favourites post.

I don’t know what it is about Maltesers recently but I love them. I have been so addicted to them and it’s really bad because I’m talking I can eat a whole pouch to myself. Weird but I like to bite off the chocolate, let it melt in my mouth, eat it and then eat the crunchy bit after that has also started to melt. I know… strange! I expect most people just eat them normally but no, not me. Maltesers are definitely my current chocolate favourites and have quickly replaced Twirl Bites.

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation

I am an avid drugstore L’Oreal True Match foundation lover. It’s my go-to foundation and the one I will 100% repurchase when it’s empty. I hadn’t found another lower end foundation that I thought came anywhere near True Match until recently. I actually asked for this Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation for Christmas after trying the tester in store and loving it. It’s completely different to True Match as it is actually quite thick and creamy compared to True Match’s quite watery consistency. It is a nice lightweight foundation for the daytime but has a full coverage. I really like it!

Primark Cotton Pads

I’m one of those people who will pick up cotton pads everywhere and anywhere because a cotton pads a cotton pad right? Wrong. There are just cotton pads and then there’s Primark cotton pads. This probably sounds like a strange thing to rave about but these cotton pads are only 90p and they are so big and so, so soft. They are literally so soft on the skin and I will not buy cotton pads anywhere else from now on!

Garnier Micellar Water

This product has been raved about so I had to jump on the bandwagon and try it out! It’s amazing! Any makeup remover or cleanser of some sort I tend to find quite harsh on my skin and they often leave my skin feeling greasy and I cannot stand that feeling. This, however, doesn’t at all and it leaves skin feeling hydrated and fresh. I use it to remove my makeup on an evening and sometimes just as a cleanse in the mornings. I cannot rate this highly enough and if you are one of the few who hasn’t tried it, I definitely recommend it.

Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance Mascara

This mascara has become a favourite of mine this month because I love how you can build it up. I can apply it minimal for a daytime look or I can build it up massively for an evening look where it looks like I’m wearing false lashes. My main love for this product is how it just doesn’t clump. At all! I think it’s great!

L’Oreal Infallible Matte Max Lip Pen 001 Silencio

I recently tried both this colour lip pen as well as Disturbia – you can find the post here to read my full review on it. Long story short, I love these lip pens. I’ve only been using them for the last two or so weeks so they are fairly new but they had to make my favourites. Both shades are amazing but Silencio has to be my favourite just because it’s a nude colour and for an everyday look I tend to chose nudes.

MaxFactor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 In 1 Foundation

I didn’t need another new foundation but I read so many amazing reviews of this foundation that I wanted to try it out this month. The 3 in 1 is Max factor stating this foundation will work as a primer, concealer and a foundation. I do need additional concealer on top of this foundation due to my dark circles but other than that this foundation does exactly what it states and I like it. I do think L’Oreal True Match is definitely my preferred foundation in comparison to this but just as an additional drugstore foundation, I think it works really well!

I featured these dungarees in my Primark Spring Haul but they are actually from Sainsbury’s! I have worn these so many times this year, I mean it’s rare I am not wearing them. They are just so easy to wear, so easy to style and so 90s! I will hopefully do an outfit post featuring them soon!

I am a huge Marvel fan, so watching Deadpool was inevitable. I knew it would be good but I didn’t know it would be as good as it was! I thought it would be on Ant-Man level, like ‘Yeah it was good but not up there with the rest’ I was so so wrong and Deadpool was honestly amazing! It’s targeted more at an adult audience and as he says it isn’t a superhero movie! I just thought it was hilarious and definitely, a must watch!

NInja Warrior UK!

This is a random TV post and sadly it has finished now but my Saturday night must watch programme over the majority of these last two months has been Ninja Warrior UK. I really love this programme, it’s so intense and I am rooting for each person but it’s also so hilarious when they fall! This has now been replaced by my recurring love for Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Can you tell I’m not a typical 20 year old? Saturday nights and you’ll catch me on the sofa watching TV.

The Sun!

This is a really random feature for a favourites post but recently I’ve been waking up or leaving work to sun! Majority of January and February has been pretty horrible weather and despite me being a Winter lover, I really, really love the Sun. It completely brightens the mood and it’s true there is more of a feel-good factor when the sun is out so I’ve been loving this brighter feeling this month!

What have been your monthly favourites and do they include any of mine?
