Let’s Get Personal…

This is a short but sweet blog post just to say that my blog posts are going to have a slight change of tone. I say slight because I will still continue to do the same posts I  do at the moment but I have now created a Diary category.

Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean I’m going to start pouring my heart out on my blog – well I might, who knows?! I just feel as though I started my blog to write about anything I want to speak about – whether that’s that I’ve just had a really good day, a really bad day, how I feel about something … whatever basically & I don’t really do that at the moment.

I love blogging but I don’t tend to post regularly because I think too much about it. I always think I have to have something of value to write about when in actual fact, sometimes I just want to write about my day. I also overthink having the perfect image for my posts and although I love photography and would love for at least 90% of my blog photography to be my own work, what’s the harm in using the odd stock photo if nothing I have fits?

My personal interests of what to read or watch within the world of blogging or Youtube tend to be vlogs because they’re the most real. I don’t tend to like the really planned, thought out click bait videos or blog titles – that’s just not what I’m into and actually, they really annoy me.

Other than vlogs, my next favourite videos are either hauls (I love shopping), gym videos (to give me 5 minute motivation) or makeup tutorials. So, there will still be my usual general lifestyle, fashion & beauty posts – they’re going nowhere. I basically want my blog to be a bit more personal as I put waaay too much stress and pressure on myself for something I simply do because I enjoy it!

So, in a nutshell, if you like personal, rambly, sometimes serious, sometimes random, sometimes pointless posts including style, beauty, food, mental health and ‘diary entries’ – stay with me. I promise they won’t actually start with Dear diary. 🙂

I love this! I’m such a fan of personal blogs. Like you said, it just gives you so much more insight into the writer. There a million blogs out there that write about the same exact thing, and so you I feel when you write about your own personal life, it really sets you apart from others. Excited to read your next “diary” post xxx
