It’s inevitable but it’s also horrible! Even if your journey into adulthood is smooth, nothing will ever be the same as your innocent, fun, free childhood. Be Peter Pan… forever.
Life has to be planned to a certain extent otherwise we’d never get anything done. Excess planning, on the other hand, is a way of putting too much pressure on yourself. It can then lead to unfulfillment if things don’t necessarily go to plan and … unhappiness.
Something that can’t be helped but equivalent to hell on earth. Overthinking can massively disturb your sleep pattern and tiredness = hell. It can also lead you to overthink the simplest of things, it can have you thinking about something that happened a long time ago and really doesn’t matter anymore but it’s just as fresh as yesterday for you and then you’re stressing over something completely irrelevant.
Thinking everybody has the same heart as you
Thinking everybody has the same outlook as you is a massive no! Everybody is different, some people would do anything they could for somebody while others wouldn’t. Some people are there to listen 24/7 whereas others only want to speak and not listen in return. Treat others how you would like to be treated but don’t expect it in return as it could end in massive disappointment.
If you tend to look at the media or more specifically, the people you see on the TV etc as role models, that will definitely have a negative impact. I found the above image on Pinterest and it is so fitting. What we see on Instagram is a snippet of reality, a posed, constructed view of somebody’s life and isn’t the entire reality. Accept you.
Settling in any aspect of life will cause you to experience an aspect of unfulfillment at some point. You have one life. YOU have one life. Do what you want, be with whoever you want to be with and enjoy every last minute.
Caring Too Much
Caring what others think about you is the worst feeling. You should never have to second guess the things you are doing, the clothes you are wearing or what you are saying because you’re worried about how somebody might take it [unless you’re being offensive of course]. DO YOU. DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.
Not Taking time for you
No matter how much of a people person you are, everybody needs some time for themselves. It’s important to take a step back every now and again and have some relaxation time, some time for yourself – it’s necessary.
The problem with continuously comparing yourself is that you won’t learn to love and accept you. You’re always going to find somebody who has things better than you, the exact same way there are people out there who have things worse than you. Self-acceptance is the key – appreciate others but don’t allow it to take over your thought processes.
