L’Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara Review

I had to try the new L’Oreal Paris Paradise Extatic┬ámascara firstly because it has a lot of hype surrounding it and secondly, I’ve loved a lot of L’Oreal mascaras over the years so I was keen to know if this one would join the list.

Before we get to the nitty gritty, I have to say I don’t love the colour scheme of the mascara tube and much prefer the design of the American version. I know it’s copper and rose gold so how can I not love it? I just wish it was all the one colour and not both. It’s also definitely screaming out false tan colours instead of mascara but hey ho, it’s Paradise right?!

So, the wand is an hourglass shape with very soft bristles. It’s pretty similar to wand for Miss Hippie & that’s one of my absolute favourites so I knew it was going to be a winner.

Now for the before & after. Excuse my hideous hooded eyes.

The outer packaging of this mascara states that it is a pleasure to apply and while I was initially sceptical, I can’t lie, I really did enjoy applying this mascara. You know when it makes such a big difference straight away? I, unfortunately, have the shortest eyelashes in the world but this mascara makes all the difference.

I’ll be honest and say, as this was the first time I applied this mascara, it did clump my lashes slightly as you can see above but no more than I’ve experienced with the first application of any mascara. The difference this mascara made to my lashes is obvious above but I don’t actually think it shows how amazing it is. It definitely lives up to its promise to give volume and length. It gives zero curl so if that’s what you’re after, get yourself a good eyelash curler to use alongside it.

My lashes looked exactly the same at both 9am in the morning and 8pm at night so it has the lasting power whilst also being really easy to remove with micellar water and cotton pads. This mascara has 100% become one of my favourites and I’m certain you’d love it too.

What are your thoughts on this mascara?
